I don't think I have mentioned it here yet: I qualified for the CSSLP, the new secure development cert from ISC2, the "makers" of the CISSP. (I still need to get going on that. Too many SANS certs have gotten in the way....)
Whether it is worthwhile may be questionable, but I figure it fits a significant part of what I am working on now (secure development) and is worth adding to my list.
Now I finally have to keep track of all the CPEs for ISSA and other such meetings!

- I am a full time researcher in the information security field, with a special focus on secure development and compliance issues. I am also the Information Security Chair for an online college and a lifelong student. I want to know far more than I have the time to know. While that can be great, it can also be frustrating! I am especially interested in secure development and security awareness. The first is very related to my previous extensive background in the software development arena. I like to relate all life together, rather than pretend to compartmentalize it as some people do. I believe you can be a very spiritual and intellectual person in this world, though many people would probably feel I don't fall effectively into either category!
